NETHERHALL completed a league and cup double when they lifted the Focsa Ken Glover Memorial Shield on Saturday.
The Maryport club, which had already won the Tesco Cumberland premier division for the sixth year in succession, beat Bransty in a penalty shoot-out at Frizington.
Before the start tribute was paid to Frizington’s Chloe Walker and others involved in the Keswick School bus crash.
After 120 minutes of football Nick Holden and Ben Byers had scored for Netherhall but Mark Callen and Gavin Bainbridge had hit back for Bransty.
That meant a penalty shoot-out and Netherhall came out on top 6-5.
It was Bransty’s second cup final defeat - just days earlier they had lost the J Edgar and Son Conway Cup against Longtown.
After normal time the secore was 1-1 but in extra time Longtown took complete control and ran out 6-1 victors.
Carlisle AFC and FC32 rounded the season off at Netherhall on Monday with the West Cumbria Scaffolding Divisional Cup final.
Carlisle, who had pipped FC32 for the division one title, again got the better of them winning 4-1.
In the final game in division one as Parton Utd Reserves entertained Hearts of Liddesdale, their last game in the county league, and they ended with a win as they ran out 3-2 winners.
