BLUE SQUARE PREMIER BET RESULT
CAMBRIDGE UNITED 3 BARROW AFC 1
BARROW AFC dropped into the Blue Square Bet Premier relegation zone after their winless run was stretched to seven matches at Cambridge.
The Bluebirds fell behind after only 13 minutes as Simon Rusell turned in a Danny Wright cross from close-range and the lead was doubled in first-half injury time as Mike Pearson turned the ball into his own net, again after Wright's work in the biuld up.
But Barrow - who lost keeper Alan Martin to injury in the warm-up - came back after the break and cut the deficit to a single goal as James Own found the back of the net for the visitors, only for Josh Coulson to settle matters.
The win lifts United above Barrow in the table, with a point for Bath City in a 1-1 draw at York City and victory for Histon at Forest Green Rovers also seeing those two sides overtake the Bluebirds, who are now third-bottom in the table.

Have your say
So far no comments from the managers or the directors on how the rot can be stopped. Only waffle about a non important FA Cup game, a trophy Barrow will never win but relegation is starting to look possible.
Only a short journey up to the Abbey Stadium and another defeat, things can only get better i hope.We just looked slow to the ball and passes going astray,Sheridan tried to gee his team up but he eventually came off !the home team had a good player with bright yellow boots on called Willmott they seemed to dazzle the Barrow defence.Felt sorry for the loyal supporters another on the road defeat.I left at 2 nil this was about half 4 to put a bet on,Leeds and Liverpool double .Anyway just hope Barrow FC can turn their season around, anybody got John Henry`s phone number ! ! ! ! !
