Bradbury helps host debate on the Lakes
TELEVISION presenter and Wainwright walker Julia Bradbury is to host a conference in the Lake District. She will help 150 delegates – including Government ministers – to consider the future management and development of the UK’s 14 national parks when they meet on the shores of Windermere. Julia is no stranger to the Lake District. Following her BBC series recreating the walks made famous by fell walker and guide writer Alfred Wainwright, she also spoke at the Keswick Mountain Festival.

A KESWICK hairdresser has been named runner-up at the Nation’s Favourite Hairdresser Awards.
£10k raised for air ambulance
A GROUP of farmers and rural folk from the Keswick area raised £10,000 for the Great North Air Ambulance when they held a Party in the Barn.
